'Tis the Season...

Anybody else keeping a wary eye on Earl down there in the Caribbean? It's moving pretty fast, and if it doesn't make that dogleg right off the coast of Hatteras like the current forecast says, could get ugly. Let's hope he's chasing after Ms. Danielle and stays harmlessly off the coast. The last thing the Cape needs is another Isabel...

We need a near miss and five inches of rain here on the farm, but that wouldn't be good for Hatteras, above or below.

Yeah, flooding is not exactly a big concern for you out there on the sand hill, is it Papa? Wishing you a drenching rainfall! Depending on the actual approach of the storm and the proximity, we can see anything from very high water to very low. Persistent easterly winds are the big problem for us here on the Western shore, blowing a whole Bay's worth of water into our tiny creeks. Here's hoping that the forecast is accurate, and Earl stays the perfect distance offshore!

Christy - Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm glad i could help with your MD connection. I wish i new more about this Cake, info has been hard to find. The original recipe is a cream filling with a chocolate sauce. . The cake is a very light sponge, so do not fill it with anything too heavy or it won't hold it's shape.

Good luck, I can not wait to see your results!
